MyPoints Review – They Offer Many Ways to Earn but Is It Legit?

mypoints review

There are many surveys sites that are just that, survey sites. They’ll offer you a variety of surveys to take and in exchange for completing them, you’ll get paid.

Though, some sites exist that not only offer paid surveys as a way to earn with their site, but they also offer a variety of other ways to earn.

In addition to surveys, these could be things like printing out coupons and playing games. Does that sounds familiar? Although not many sites offer such expansive money making opportunities, Swagbucks is one of the largest to do so. Are there any other sites that offer a multitude of ways to earn points on top of surveys?

Another popular rewards site is MyPoints. MyPoints allows members to get paid for doing surveys as well as playing games, watching videos and more.

That’s great to know the site offers a variety of ways to earn points, but is MyPoints worth it? In our MyPoints review, we’ll put this site to test and decide if holds up to the best of best survey sites.

What is MyPoints?

So MyPoints offers a few of the same earning systems Swagbucks does, is that a coincidence? Well upon researching the company behind MyPoints, we’ve learned that it’s not a coincidence at all.

MyPoints is a digital rewards program that is owned by Prodege, LLC. Sound familiar? Well it should, because Prodege is also the owner of Swagbucks. In addition to MyPoints and Swagbucks, they own Shop at Home and My Gift Cards Plus.

According to Prodege’s website, they aim to better consumer influence. They help brands by increasing their engagement with consumers. With MyPoints, brands can increase consumer exposure, get input from their users and compile insights, all in order to help foster brand loyalty. Protege makes this all possible through things like surveys, videos, shopping, search, games and discovery on their various platforms.

Prodege’s brand partners are able to get these valuable insights with the assistance of the 40 million members within the Protege network. Additionally, by connecting those retailers with so many consumers, retailers can improve sales significantly. Those members, in turn for their efforts, are paid. Across all of their platforms, Protege has paid out over $500 million in gift cards and cash back.

Now, that all speaks to Protege as a whole. Lets focus in on one of their digital rewards divisions, MyPoints.

MyPoints allows advertisers to make contact with over 9 million registered online shoppers (members of MyPoints) by rewarding those shoppers with points for making purchases at over 1,500 different retailers.

Advertisers are able to get expertly targeted promotions by only focusing on members that fit a specific criteria. This could be things like that member’s demographics, purchasing behavior and interests.

This all works fluidly, as MyPoints members are answering questions (and making purchases) around things they like and the advertisers can use the platform to meet their goals such as boosting sales, increasing website traffic and creating new leads.

MyPoints members have plenty of opportunities on the site as various brand partners are eager to get information on consumer interests.

How Does MyPoints Work?

By now, it’s clear that the MyPoints platform works by rewarding members with points for supplying important insights businesses are looking for, through things like surveys, videos and deals.

MyPoints also helps brand partners to generate leads and sales by offering members points for shopping with those brand partners (using things like coupons and deals).

In order to become a member and start earning points, go to the MyPoints sign up page and enter your email and create a preferred password.

After that you’ll answer questions about your name, gender, birthday and zip code:

And after clicking “Join Now” you’ll be done with the first step of signing up. You’ll then be prompted to start exploring the various ways to earn on MyPoints.

getting started mypoints

Before you get too involved in any of those options, make sure you go to your email inbox and verify your MyPoints account:

verify email mypoints

After that, the first thing we recommend doing is clicking “Surveys” in the top bar (which pulls up the available survey list). You won’t be able to complete any surveys until you complete the “Unlock surveys in the list” survey.

The survey will take less than 5 minutes and will cover basic demographic questions about your age, birthday, income level, education level, family finances, relationship status, home ownership info, children, race, employment status, workplace and workplace role. You’ll even get 10 points for your effort.

To further fill out your profile, we’d recommend you fill out a few rounds of the Survey Profile questions:

survey profile questions mypoints

Each round consists of 10 questions, where you pick your answer from the dropdown, and are paid 5 points everytime you complete a round of 10 questions.

These questions are meant to help MyPoints get to know you further and by doing so, better target surveys and offers unique to you.

MyPoints works by paying members with points for doing things like shopping online, watching videos, reading emails, taking surveys and more. With those earned points, members can exchange their points for gift cards, PayPal or even travel miles.

Those surveys can expire, so it’s wise to take all available surveys as quickly as possible. Also, new surveys are added at random times throughout the day, so watch for them.

It’s also important to note that you should be honest when completing each survey, if you’re not, your survey access could get blocked.

You should also answer rounds of profiles questions when you can. This will help match you with as many surveys as possible.

The rewards redemption system with MyPoints is pretty good. The payment options are divided into three categories.

Travel Miles

This is one of the more unique payment options among survey sites.

You can trade your points for miles added to your United MileagePlus account.

MyPoints Coupons/Deals

The best MyPoints deal right now (on top of using the site for the deals and coupons it offers) is if you make a qualified purchase of $20 or more through the site (in your first 30 days), you’ll get a $10 gift card. This is a pretty good deal, especially if you already had planned on shopping at any of those stores or were interested in a few of the deals.

MyPoints Hacks

As there’s so many ways to earn with MyPoints, it can be tough to decide how you should use your time. To help you maximize your earnings with MyPoints, we’ve broken down our top money making tips when using their site.

Complete the Sign Up Process

This may go without saying, but it’s important to complete any and all introductory surveys that MyPoints provides. After you get your account created, make sure you finish the “complete your profile” survey. This asks you a series of demographic related questions such as race, income and more. Make sure you are as honest and accurate as possible when filling out the survey. This survey will help decide what surveys you will qualify for in the future, so it’s important to provide honest answers.

Additionally, complete the “Survey Profile” questions when you can. You can take them in rounds of 10 questions and this also helps build out your profile so that you can qualify for any and all surveys targeted to your demographic profile.

In all, make sure your survey profile is complete. You want to do everything you can to maximize the number of surveys that come to your dashboard.

Take All Surveys

Taking surveys should be your primary focus on MyPoints before trying their other earnings methods. Surveys on the site typically pay better than the other methods for your time.

Complete all the surveys you have in your dashboard, everyday. It would be worthwhile to check the dashboard multiple times per day if you can.

Survey offers can expire, so it’s important to finish them quickly.

Use the Deals

It may sound a bit counterintuitive to spend money to make money, but this is a legit way to earn points. Many times the deals that you are taking cost less than what you are paid in points. For example, by getting Dollar Shave Club’s $5 Starter Set you are given 3,500 points (or about $20). So you spend $5 to make $20. It would be best to use this type of strategy on offers that you’re actually interested in.

Let's say you actually wanted to try Blue Apron and it just so happens you’ll get 4,500 points for joining; that’s the ideal scenario.

This is definitely a quick and easy way to turn a profit.

MyPoints Score

Using the browser extension helps keep you up to date with any money making opportunities that come up while you surf the web. It’s a great way to stay connected while not on the site.

Shopping is another great way to earn points, but only if you are buying things that you were going to do anyway.

We don’t recommend you make purchases just to earn points, that would be a waste of money.

If you find that stores you would shop at anyway are offering points per dollar spent (in the shopping section of MyPoints), take advantage of it. It a great way to get “cash back” for purchases you were already planning to make.

In all, you won’t get rich with MyPoints, but you can earn some spending money. Thing like the Daily 5 help to keep you on track and earning points daily. Settings point goals and working to meet those goals will go a long way in terms of profits.

Other Customer Reviews

Other MyPoints reviews have a variety of opinions on the site. Just because the site offers many different earning options, it doesn’t mean it will make customers happy.

We took a look a a few customer reviews to get an idea of the general consensus.

sitejabber logo

Some of the reviewers on Sitejabber weren’t happy as they claimed to not always be credited their points for surveys and videos. Other noted that they had their account closed for no apparent reason.

One of the more positive reviews stated that they initially weren’t given their reward but after contacting MyPoints, the issue was resolved and they received their gift card. Another stated that they liked the choices for earning points.

trust pilot star logo

Some of the negative reviews on TrustPilot stated that they struggled with getting rejected from surveys during the screening process.

For the most part, the reviews on TrustPilot were very positive. A few members said that MyPoints is their favorite survey site. Others noted that they’ve been with MyPoints for years and have used it as a way to earn extra cash. Lastly, a reviewer stated the enjoying getting to test products.

Reviews vary for MyPoints, there are some negative and positive ones. The positive reviews seem to show an appreciation for the site and its variety. The negative reviews, although disappointing, seem as though they could be corrected by customer support (in some cases, they were corrected). If you run into any issues, we'd definitely recommend reaching out to customer support. MyPoints could be an even better service is their customer support can address issues as they come up. That is of course, if MyPoints customer service is responsive.

How Does It Compare?

MyPoints matches up well to the competition. In terms of earning options, MyPoints has more to pick from than survey focused sites like VIP Voice and Survey Club. Although, we didn’t find that MyPoints had the best payout per survey that some other surveys do.

Really, the strongest element to MyPoints is the variety to their platform. It’s similar to Swagbucks in that way. Although, we’d have to say that Swagbucks does it a bit better.

That said, MyPoints is an upper tier survey sites and is definitely better than many of its competitors.

Is MyPoints Legit or a Scam?

Even with complaints online about MyPoints not properly crediting points or other account issues, there are also plenty of positive reviews of users that really enjoy the site.

After completing our research, we’ve found that MyPoints is not a scam.

MyPoints was founded in 1996 and has built a pretty respectable user base, and growing. Although the customer service doesn’t appears to be perfect, we’ve seen many members get their issues resolved by MyPoints support. Also their privacy policy is explained well and it’s honest in that they agree not to share any personal member information without consent.

Prodege, the company that owns MyPoints, is a respectable presence in the paid survey world. They own Swagbucks too, which is one of the top survey sites, so the company seems to know what they’re doing.

BBB logo

Prodege has been accredited by the Better Business Bureau since May 2010. Their “A” rating shows that they are (at least) a pretty reputable company. Prodege’s portfolio of sites is impressive and they are committed to provided consumer driven data.

In all, MyPoints is a legit site and you can get paid by putting in the work and providing your opinion.

Is MyPoints Worth It?

We can’t say that MyPoints is our number one survey site, but it is a pretty good choice. Their site is easy to use, the reward system has great choices and the ways to earn are plentiful.

If you’re looking to add another survey site to your daily rotation, MyPoints is a compelling option.

If you’re new to survey sites and are looking for your first one, MyPoints is a fine pick. Especially because it provides users with so many choices. It’s definitely above average in terms of survey site quality.

Toluna Review – Unique Social Survey Site or Scam?

toluna review

Toluna is among some of the most commonly known paid survey sites and has garnered a variety of opinions from their thousands of members online. Although Toluna is a commonly known site, that doesn’t mean it’s worth your time.

In this Toluna review, we’ll take an indepth look into the site, the company behind it, and overall, answer the question, “can you actually make any money?”

What is Toluna?

Toluna is owned by ITWP Acquisitions Ltd. ITWP is a private investment firm that owns Toluna, Harris Interactive and KuRunData. Frédéric-Charles Petit, the current CEO, founded ITWP in 2000. ITWP is a digital market research company that primarily focuses on automation and digital.

Toluna works by helping companies make intelligent business decisions by providing them with the input of people that use those products and/or services.

As a Toluna Influencer, users of Toluna interact with the platform and offer their voice to better the products and services they use, in real time. This is accomplished via surveys on the Toluna website.

That input is used to influence how companies market, advertise and distribute their products and services. In exchange for the Toluna Influener’s offering their voice, they’re rewarded with points that can be exchanged for cash and other rewards.

How Does Toluna Work?

Toluna advertises that they use industry leading technology and consumer intelligence experts to craft Insights on Demand. This is an automated, end-to-end platform that provides consumer intelligence in real time. On top of creating that automated system, Toluna maintains a massive online community of influencers that are engaged and prepared to offer their opinion when needed. This entire processed in displayed in the following diagram:

To access your first survey, just go to the survey center and see what’s available. Go to the “Surveys” tab along the top of the site and click “Survey Center.”

The surveys may be labeled as categories such a “lifestyle” or “food” - the important thing to look for it to see how many points each survey can range up to. The higher the point value, the more you should prioritize the survey.

That’s it! Those steps should complete your initial set up with Toluna.

Ways to Earn

Toluna offers a variety of ways to earn, and they’re all based around you sharing your opinion.

Just Signing Up

Toluna awards each new member 500 points, just for signing up. This is a great way to start your earnings strong and have something to build on.

Profile Surveys

Another quick way to get some points is to fill out any profile surveys you haven’t gotten to yet.

When in the Survey Center, look at the sidebar on right side of the screen and click a few profile surveys; you can earn about 100 points each. You could also hover over the “Surveys” tab and click “Profile Surveys.”

Profile Surveys help Toluna to get to know you and better personalize the surveys that you’re offered.

By filling out these Profile Surveys, not only will the surveys be better targeted, they’ll also enable you to qualify for more surveys. So make sure you complete them!

toluna profile surveys

Surveys are by far the best way to earn points with Toluna. Simply go to the “Surveys” tab and click “Survey Center.”

The surveys range on a variety of topics and how many surveys you get weekly depends upon your answers when signing up. Many times the surveys are targeted to specific demographics.

Before beginning the actual survey, you’ll answer a few screening questions to ensure you’re the right fit. If you fail that screening, you’ll be exited from the survey. If this happens, stay patient and try another survey. Toluna uses this process to ensure the integrity of each survey is upholded and the brands looking for the answers to those surveys are getting exactly what they need.

One thing to note, take each survey you get as quickly as possible. Surveys can fill up and if you don’t access them fast enough, you may lose them. You’ll be notified of new surveys via email or you can just check the Survey Center yourself.

Surveys pay from 15 to 50,000 points. The actual point value for each survey depends upon their subject matter and length. Surveys can really vary, so make sure you keep an eye out for the best ones.

Points are often credited right to your account upon completing each survey, but it may also take weeks (according to Toluna’s website).

Quickvotes are brief polls (typically one question) and are sponsored (rather than user created polls). Each Quickvotes poll earns you 15 points, so go through and ensure you complete them daily.

Referrals are a great way to earn extra points. You can do this simply by getting your friends and family to sign up!

Test Products

You can get free stuff in exchange for testing various big brand’s new products. You’ll be randomly selected to try out a new product. If chosen, they’ll send you the item and you’ll just have to fill out a few questions about it. After that, it’s yours!

Creating Content

The Toluna site states that you can earn up to 1,000 points for each content piece created. One thing to keep in mind when posting content, focus on quality, not quantity.

Quality content means polls and topics that have a title and an image or video. Ensure that your poll topic shows your opinion clearly and also keep your wording respectful of Toluna’s terms and conditions.

In terms of what content you create, focus on polls, topics and opinions.

Users can create polls that asks other members a particular question. Each poll is created so that Toluna members each select their answer to the poll from the options provided (some polls allow for multiple answers to be selected). Each member created poll can get 10 responses.

toluna polls

Whereas polls allows other members to select from a list of answers to a particular question, Topics allow you to begin a discussion about a particular topic. A member opens a discussion about a particular topic and other members can comment under that topic and leave their opinion.

Toluna Coupons/Deals

One of the best promotions Toluna has is their sign up bonus. New users get 500 points for creating a new account. This is a pretty decent way to begin your earnings.

Toluna Hacks

n order to make Toluna as profitable as possible, we’ve put together a few of our top tips for those interested in using the platform

Take Surveys Immediately

You can get notified of new surveys via email. This is a great way to keep track of when surveys are available. However, that survey notification may not always be immediate and most of the surveys are limited in terms of how many people can take it. So, you should check the Survey Center, at least daily, to ensure you’re getting every opportunity.

Get the Mobile App

By downloading their mobile app, you’ll get access to surveys, polls and other functionalities like Battles and Thumb It on the go.

This will enable you to ensure you are accessing opportunities when it’s convenient for you.

Invite Your Friends

Inviting your friends is a great way to earn extra points. It doesn’t take that much work and the payout is decent. You can event share your referral link on your social accounts to spread your reach.

Quickvotes (Sponsored Content)

Quickvotes should be your preference over member created Polls, Topics, Battles and Thumb Its. Those are great and you should participate in them not only because you may win points, but because you are also able to voice your opinion.

Though, to make the most amount of points with the short answer (non survey) parts of Toluna, Quickvotes is your best bet. As they’re sponsored content, you get points for simply answering a poll.

Pick the Best Gift Card With the Most Value

For the most part, 3,000 points is $1 in Toluna’s rewards system and 30,000 points is the minimum to cash out (which is $10).

You may find certain gift cards have a better conversion rates and so a better value. Be on the lookout for those, if that particular gift card is one that you’re interested in.

Limit Sweepstakes Entries

Although the prospect of winning a sweepstake is appealing, you should limit your entries in each sweepstake. For example, entering 500 points into a sweepstake to win $120 sounds great, but if you don’t win, that was wasted points. Therefore, we recommend that you cautiously enter sweepstakes as you may just lose points that could’ve been used towards a reward.

Other Customer Reviews

Overall, Toluna reviews are mixed. As it is such a big site with so many members, there are quite a few reviews online.

sitejabber logo

Members pointed out their frustration with the point system and felt as though it took too long to be able to cash out. Another reviewer stated that after completing a survey, it took a lot of time to get the points credited to their account.

Others stated that the surveys were fun and interactive. Some long time members commented on the site and stated that the service has been improving.

trust pilot star logo

Reviews on TrustPilot were mostly negative. Members commented on their frustration with the being disqualified from surveys during the screening process. Others noted some technical issues they encountered when taking the surveys.

Another review stated that the incentives were pretty good and they also liked the social aspect of Toluna.

Although there seems to be quite a few negative reviews, particularly on TrustPilot, we noticed that Toluna was actually responding to these negative reviews directly and attempting to address the issue. It doesn’t excuse the issues that those member encountered, but it shows that the company is working to improve itself.

How Does It Compare?

Toluna is definitely one of the largest surveys sites. They have a large company (ITWP) behind them and their privacy policy definitely gives them an advantage over sites like Survey Voices.

Their size enables them to have a legit community where members can interact and voice their opinions, that’s something not many other survey sites offer.

Though, whereas sites like Swagbucks offer low cash out requirements, Toluna’s points to cash ratio seems a bit off and it takes quite some time to redeem a reward.

The reward options on the site are great though, and although they don’t have all the bids and sweepstake options VIP Voice does, they offer direct payment via things like gift cards and PayPal, which is convenient.

Is Toluna Legit or a Scam?

Although some users have had issues with Toluna’s timing in delivering points for completed surveys, cash out times and the screening fail rate, Toluna is most certainly legit.

There are many respectable parts of the site and it can actually make you money, if your put the time in. You won’t be able to quit your day job using Toluna, but it can provide some extra cash.

Toluna is owned by ITWP, which says a few things. First, ITWP is a large company that’s been around for a long time with a commitment to market research. Second, ITWP owns a few other survey entities, so they are very familiar with the business.

BBB logo

Additionally, Toluna USA, Inc. has been accredited by the Better Business Bureau since September of 1996. Their “A+” rating shows that this company takes what they do seriously.

Their privacy policy is pretty good as well. They break down exactly how they use your information in the FAQs. Basically, they don’t provide any of your identifying information to their clients (or other agencies) and they stress that the personal information you provide is primarily to ensure you get matched up with the right surveys.

Is Toluna Worth It?

There are many survey sites available today, though not many are the size of Toluna. This is a survey site with a long history and a commitment to the brands that use the site for research as well as the members of the site who answer the important questions.

We wouldn’t say Toluna is the very best survey site online, but it is a decent one. Their system is straightforward and they offer multiple ways to make money.

In all, we’d say Toluna is worth a try. It is by no means a perfect service, but it outshines quite a few of the lesser quality surveys sites out there.

VIP Voice Review – Are the Rewards Legit or a Scam?

vip voice review

When it comes to survey sites, one of the first things people looks at is the site’s rewards program. What are the redemption options? How much do you get paid? These are all great questions to ask before signing up.

On this particular point, VIP Voice sets itself apart from the rest. Is this a good thing? Well, in this VIP Voice review, we’ll take a look at the rewards program as well as the site overall and decide if it’s worth the time.

What is VIP Voice?

VIP Voice is an online research community that’s owned by The NPD Group. Their parent company, The NPD Group, is a well established market research company that was founded in 1967.

The NPD Group helps companies make better business decisions by providing them with market information.

As stated on the VIP Voice site, this research panel helps companies to create products designed for the right markets at the right price, in order to be most successful. The information learned from the research conducted on VIP Voice helps these companies to make these important decisions.

How to Reach VIP Voice

The NPD Group, Inc.

900 West Shore Road

Port Washington, NY 11050 USA

The NPD Group (using VIP Voice) conducts over 12 millions surveys each year. Members of VIP Voice share their opinion on a host of topics and companies utilize that survey information (as well a retail info The NPD Group acquires from retailers) to make efficient and effective decisions in the business process.

Members of VIP Voice share their opinions on purchased products and services, stores they shop at, and many other things to help the brands and companies that create those products/service to improve upon themselves. At times, the collective information gained (from yourself and other members) can be summarized and used in media reports.

VIP Voice covers many different topics ranging from food, fashion, movies, video games, appliances and more. They look to get opinions from anyone on the products/services that they use.

How Does VIP Voice Work?

By this point, it’s pretty clear that VIP Voice is backed by a credible company in The NPD Group. The company supplies many of the Fortune 500 companies with valuable information that’s ultimately used to make important business decisions.

Even with all this, VIP Voice has accumulated quite a few complaints. This could largely be due to how their rewards system works. Before we get into that though, let’s break down the sign up process.

In order to sign up, first you need to go to Vip Voice’s website and create a new profile.

basic information vip voice

After clicking “Register” you have successfully created an account. Next, you’ll need to check your email for a confirmation from VIP Voice. After you verify your email, login to your newly created account on the VIP Voice website.

After logging in you’ll need to answer a few more “Basic Information” questions. This covers things that were covered when signing up (like gender, birth date, etc.) as well as information like your address, income and the number of people that you live with.

After completing the “Basic Information” questions you’ll be brought to a new page that’s labeled “Household Profile.” On this page you’ll answer questions about who the head of your household is and the birthdates of the other people that live with you.

household profile vip voice

This last step completes the sign up process. If you have yet to verify your email you’ll be asked again to do so.

verify email vip voice

Now that covers the sign up process, after completing those steps you’ll be ready to start taking surveys to earn rewards.

Click the “Survey Center” button along the top bar of the site to begin earning points:

survey center vip voice

To take a survey, click the “Take Survey Now” button and you’ll go to the next survey in your queue to be completed.

take a survey vip voice

Each survey earns you a varying amount of points. The amount you earn depends upon what level you’re at. We’ll explain that more below.

Ways to Earn

As we mentioned in the previous section, the primary way to earn points is by completing surveys.

Most of the surveys start with a few screening questions to qualify you for the actual survey. Even if you fail the screening, VIP Voice typically awards you a few points for your efforts.

You can be notified of surveys via email or by just logging into your profile and checking to see what’s available. The format in which you complete surveys can vary from standard 10 minute surveys to week long studies on your daily eating habits.

VIP Voice uses a “level” system to decide where users rank among the rest. The level system is as follows:

types of levels vip voice

As you can see, there are five levels. Every member starts out at level 1 and they level up by taking more surveys. For example, after completing two surveys you can reach level 2 and after completing twenty surveys you’ve reached level 5 (the highest level).

The higher the level, the better, as you earn more points per survey when your reach higher levels.

So you earn more points per survey as you level up.

The level you’re currently at can be tracked along the top right corner on the site.

In regard to the points described in the table above:

VIP Participation Points are points given when a user attempts to take a survey but doesn’t make it past the screening questions.

VIP Qualification Points are points given when a member qualifies for and completes a survey.

VIP Participation and Qualification Points ultimately just become “ VIP Points” once they are added to your account.

What Are the Payment Options?

Their payment options system is where VIP Voice separates itself from other survey sites.

Members earn points for each survey they complete, which is pretty typical among survey sites. Though, whereas most survey sites convert those earned points into checks and gift cards, VIP Voice exchanges the points for entries into sweepstakes and bidding contests.

You heard that right, no direct cash payments.

Instead, users can win prizes in exchange for their efforts. See below for an explanation of each of the payment types.

Payment From Studies

This is possibly one of the only “sure thing” rewards when it comes to VIP Voice.

If you take part in a study, such as a week long food journal where you document everything you’ve eaten over the course of a week, you may be rewarded with an actual gift card at the end. We’ve seen these types of studies payout, on average, with a $25 gift card and 700 VIP Points.

BidLand is one of the reward options on VIP Voice where you use your VIP Points to bid in auctions for items you want. This system is a bit like eBay, except you are using your rewards points to pay for the item.

The auctions are for things like grills, bluetooth speakers, gift cards and blenders.

auctions BidLand vip voice

Some auctions require you to be at a certain level before bidding. If you aren’t at a high enough level, the required level will be shown in grey in the lower left corner of the preview for the item.

Auctions, especially for high value items, can get pretty high in points bidded. You may find that you don’t have enough points to bid on an item you want. If you’re looking to redeem your rewards immediately rather than saving up, try bidding on a lower value item.

Each auction will show the current highest bid, the bidder’s name, number of bids and the time left for the auction.

If you are outbid, the points you had previously bid are placed back into your account and can be used in that auction again in the form of a new, higher bid. Or you could just use the points for another auction.

If you win the auction those points are exchanged for the item you won and the item will be sent to you.

SweepLand is another option users have to exchange their points for prizes on VIP Voice.

Much like BidLand, if you haven’t reached the required level to enter the sweepstake, the level necessary will be shown in grey in the bottom left corner on the sweepstake preview.

In SweepLand, you use your points to enter into sweepstakes. The more points you enter, the more chances you have to win a particular item.

Whereas in BidLand the highest bidder wins, in SweepLand, the winner is randomly chosen. So if your really want a prize ensure you’ve entered plenty of points.

Though, if you don’t win the sweepstake, the points you entered are not returned to your account.

The prizes are things like vacation trips, cash, computers and electronics.

Here’s a few examples:

sweepstakes vip voice

Plink in One

Plink in One is a variation of Plinko, in which member can click to have the ball fall through the plinks into a specific prize on the bottom. The prize the ball lands in is the prize the member gets.

Here’s the rewards:

plink in one vip voice

Members can only play once per day, but it’s a great way to earn a prize or extra points.

These are the primary ways to get rewards on the site, however, at times VIP Voice may run additional rewards options, such as their Spring Scratch ‘N’ Match program.

VIP Voice Coupons/Deals

Other than VIP Voice being free to join, there are currently no coupons or deals for the site.

However, an advantage of the site is when you first sign up you’re entered into a $1,000 quarterly registration sweepstake. You are entered into this sweepstake just for signing up.

VIP Voice Hacks

Although the site is pretty straight forward as to getting rewards, there are a few hacks to ensure you maximize your potential on the site.

Level Up As Fast As Possible

You reach a new level every time you hit a required number of completed surveys. The higher your level the more you earn per survey, so take as many surveys as you can upon signing up to reach the top level. That way you can be sure you’re earning the max.

Play Plink in One Everyday

Regardless of if you get a great prize or not, Plink in One is free to play and has decent potential rewards. For example, we recently played and got the 2,500 point prize. That’s a decent reward for less than a minute of work. Even if you don’t win anything, is worth trying everyday.

Limit Your Entries In SweepLand

The issue with SweepLand is if you don’t win, you lose all the points you had entered. That’s really an issue with sweepstakes in general, but for VIP Voice members, those points were the result of hard work.

Therefore, unless you see a sweepstake for an item your really want, try to limit the amount of points you enter in SweepLand.

If you like the idea of trying your luck, SweepLand is a perfectly fine choice for your points. We just like the idea of ensuring our points are being used for a prize we actually get.

Focus on BidLand

BidLand is likely your best bet, as far as prizes go. The primary advantage to BidLand is if you are outbid, your points are returned to you.

The best strategy for using BidLand is to save up as many points as you can. Check out BidLand and get an idea of how many points items you want are costing other members. When your reach a threshold of the points necessary for some of the items your want, keep an eye out for an item that interests you.

When you come across one, don’t bid right away. Instead, wait until the bid is almost over so that you not only know how many points it will take to win, you also don’t get so emotionally invested in the auction that you bid more than you realistically should.

If the bid for an item gets too high, hold out for the next item that interests you. The best strategy with BidLand is to efficiently use your points.

Pros and Cons

  • check
BidLand is an interesting concept in that you bid for prizes rather than just exchanging points for rewards
  • check
Getting more points per survey for higher account levels is a great way to reward members for their work
  • check
VIP Participation Points are nice in that you get something even if you don’t pass the screening questions

  • No direct points to payment system (like gift cards and checks)
  • Must reach specific level thresholds for certain items in BidLand and SweepLand
  • 100 points = $1 is a standard conversion rate for survey sites, if an item surpasses its points to cash value in BidLand, it’s not a good value for the member

Other Customer Reviews

Overall, customer reviews for VIP Voice aren’t great.

Many VIP Voice reviews stated that they spent tons of points in SweepLand but never won anything.

Some users wished that their points could be used for concrete rewards rather than bidding for prizes or entering sweepstakes.

Other more positive reviews stated that they liked that the site’s rewards system was different than other survey sites, but they also stressed than the system wasn’t flawless.

Some other reviews mentioned that the helpdesk response time was pretty decent.

Overall, the consensus of other VIP Voice reviews is that the site can be fun and unique, but it can be difficult to actually get the various prizes offered and so can get frustrating when a significant amount of effort is dedicated to the site.

How Does It Compare?

VIP Voice is similar to other “survey only” sites like MySurvey and Survey Club in that the site’s primary earning system is based on taking surveys.

Among other survey sites, VIP Voice sets itself apart in that they use a bidding/sweepstakes rewards system rather than the point for gift card/cash redemption system most survey sites use. Whether this system is better or worse is up to the user, though we slightly prefer a system where we know exactly how much each prize costs.

Compared to other survey sites like Swagbucks, VIP Voice doesn’t have nearly as many opportunities to earn points (like watching videos and downloading apps).

What are my chances of winning a sweepstake in SweepLand?

Where can I see the winners of the past sweepstakes/auctions?

Why didn’t I receive my VIP Points?

Is VIP Voice Legit or a Scam?

VIP Voice certainly brings mixed reviews due to its rewards model. Some users feel scammed when they place points into the SweepLand but never win anything.

Though, for the site to be considered a scam, it would need to be trying to trick its users. It doesn’t seem like that’s what VIP Voice is doing. They clearly explain their system on their site and it is at the user’s discretion as to how they use their points. When it comes to things like sweepstakes, it is risky by nature to put hard earned points into that type of reward.

Therefore, we can understand some user’s frustrations with the site and feel as though it’s scam. We think it’s very important for users to be compensated for their time and so, we recommend those interested should really learn how VIP Voice works before trying it.

The site isn’t a scam, but it can waste your time if your don’t use it properly.

BBB logo

One thing worth noting is the Better Business Bureau’s overview of The NPD Group (the parent company of VIP Voice). The BBB gave The NPD Group an A+ rating. That definitely shows that the company behind VIP Voice is legit.

Is VIP Voice Worth It?

Whether VIP Voice is worth it, really depends on the person. If you are the type of person that enjoys auctions and sweepstakes, you’ll really like VIP Voice and their payment model.

Though, if you like a “sure thing” rewards system where you can get a direct point to money ratio (like 500 points for a $5 Amazon gift card), then VIP Voice may not be for you.

You may get great deals for your points in auctions or get lucky and win a sweepstake, but you could also have trouble winning those sweepstakes and need to bid unreasonably high in auctions to get prizes you want.

If VIP Voice and its rewards system sounds like something you’d be interested in, there’s no harm in trying it out. Just manage your expectations and realize that you may not win every sweepstake and the auctions may be tough to win.

Survey Voices Review – Legit Way to Find Survey Sites or Scam?

survey voices review

When it comes to paid survey sites, normally the site you sign up for is the one that administers and pays you for each survey (or activity) you complete.

Though, Survey Voices is a bit different. You don’t actually take any surveys on their website at all. Additionally, as you don’t take surveys on their site and they don’t pay you, you don’t even really create an account. More or less, you just provide your email and other contact info.

You’re probably thinking, “okay so what do they even do?” Well in this review, we’ll answer that question and let you know if using Survey Voices is worth the time.

What is Survey Voices?

By this point you’ve probably realized that Survey Voices is not a typical survey site. They are what’s called a survey site aggregator. Basically how they work is as link between you and other survey sites.

So rather than you finding each of the survey sites that they recommend on your own, they record your info and give you the top survey site opportunities (or at least that ones that they think are the best).

How to Reach Survey Voices

Their goal is to communicate to you the survey sites that they think you should sign up for.

The company behind Survey Voices is Reward Zone USA, LLC, which appears to be based out of New York and has a president named Matthew Conlin.

How Does Survey Voices Work?

Survey Voices simply promotes other survey sites, they don’t actually pay you for taking surveys. Their sign up process is different than many other survey sites because you don’t actually create a password and open an account.

Here’s how the sign up process goes:

First, you’ll be prompted to enter your email.

enter email survey voices

From there you’ll be asked to enter your first name, last name and zip code.

provide name survey voices

After that, you’ll enter your address and phone number.

give address survey voices

Now that appears to complete the first survey that collects your basic information. You’ll then be asked to take a second survey.

survey voices second survey

The survey that commences is about 15 questions long and are taken one at a time. It’s goes by pretty fast. They ask basic demographic information and the questions cover the following:

  • If you have a bank account
  • Your credit score
  • Your debt situation
  • check
    Your income
  • check
    If you own a home
  • check
    If you own a car
  • check
    You political preference
  • check
    Your employment situation
  • check
    Educational plans
  • check
    Your health insurance situation
  • check
    Any existing health issues

After you finish up that second part of welcome process, you’ll then be asked if you are interested in making more money on the side.

make money survey voices

Here’s where it gets interesting. If you click on “yes”, as most people would, a new tab opens. In that new tab, it goes to the sign up form on another survey site. This is where they act as a survey site aggregator. They open a new tab with a survey site that they think you should join.

If you sign up for that site, or just close out the tab, you’ll return to the Survey Voices page where you had clicked “yes” to making money.

However, the question has changed. The question now asks if you’d like to earn from home.

make money from home survey voices

If you click “yes” the process I just described repeats itself. A new tab opens holding a survey site that Survey Voices wants you to join.

Upon closing that tab and going back the original Survey Voices tab, you’ll be informed that you’ve completed your initial set up and that Survey Voices is loading a list of survey sites for you.

Soon after, a page loads (on Survey Voices’ website) that shows a list of survey sites they recommend.

find top survey site survey voices

Many of the most popular survey sites are on this list.

From there, you may receive emails and possibly other communication from Survey Voices letting you know about other survey sites.

Ways to Earn

Survey Voices isn’t offering you ways to earn on their site.

Though they do offer you ways to earn, by signing up for other survey sites. If you sign up for the survey sites they list and complete surveys and other tasks on those sites, you can get paid by those respective sites.

What Are the Payment Options?

Much like the above answer, Survey Voices doesn’t have any payment options. They don’t pay you for anything.

If you sign up for the survey sites they recommend, like Swagbucks for example, you would then begin using Swagbucks to accumulate earnings. Once you’ve reached enough to cash out, you would choose from Swagbucks’ payment options.

You aren’t choosing payment options from Survey Voices, as you aren’t earning with them.

Survey Voices Coupons/Deals

There are no Survey Voices coupons or deals as they are just middlemen. You go to them, and they direct you to another survey site.

One of those survey sites could be a decent opportunity and turn out to be a deal, but it wasn’t a direct deal offered by Survey Voices.

Survey Voices Hacks

The primary hack here is to use Survey Voices to find good survey sites. Or at least that’s what they want you to do. The survey sites they recommend are mixed. Through our testing with the service, we found that they did in fact recommend some good survey sites but they also recommended some, what appeared to be, scam survey sites.

Pros and Cons

  • check
    Well designed website
  • check
    Simple interface
  • check
    Lists many survey sites

  • May spam your email/phone
  • Doesn’t actually have surveys on their site or pay you
  • Not all survey sites they recommend seem legit
  • Unclear what they do with your information (and why they ask for it)

Other Customer Reviews

Many other Survey Voices reviews online express their confusion with the survey site’s model. As it is just a middleman to get to other survey sites, some review questioned the legitimacy of the recommended sites.

Other reviews stated that after giving Survey Voices their phone number and email, they were spammed constantly. One reviewer said that they believe Survey Voices sells the information of those who sign up to other companies that in turn, solicit those members.

Overall, customers that used Survey Voices were disappointed.

How Does It Compare?

It’s difficult to compare Survey Voices to other survey sites as it’s truly a paid survey site aggregator, not a survey site.

Whereas other sites pay members to take surveys, Survey Voices just points users to the survey sites they think just be joined.

There are two things I think can be compared, however. First off, Survey Voices has a clean and easy to understand website design. It feels legitimate based off of the way it was designed. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s legit though.

Additionally, respect to member’s private information is a key indicator of a quality survey site. Many of the top survey sites (like Ipsos i-Say and MySurvey) have a respectable privacy policy, though, how Survey Voices uses member’s information is unclear.

Though, we cannot say this as a fact. The two issues that brought us to identify this privacy concern is (1) other reviews stated they were spammed after giving Survey Voices their information and (2) Survey Voices asks for a decent amount of specific information (income, debt, credit rating, assets, etc.) and it doesn’t seem to be clear as to why they need that information. Leading on that point, it’s not unusual for a survey site to ask that type of information, but as Survey Voices is an aggregator, we don’t see how that information directly correlates with finding the best survey opportunities for an individual.

Why does Survey Voices ask the initial survey questions?

How do I get paid?

How can I get Survey Voices to delete all of my personal information?

Is Survey Voices Legit or a Scam?

With all the negative reviews online, it seems instinctual to call Survey Voices a scam. Though, there’s a few things worth noting.

As to the confusion if this is a survey site or not, Survey Voices does clearly state on their homepage that they are an aggregator. They also explain what that means and describe how their site works.

So in regards to that, Survey Voices cannot be claimed to be a scam.

BBB logo

Another point Survey Voices has in their favor is that their parent company, Reward Zone USA, LLC, received an “A” rating on the Better Business Bureau website.

Though where it gets messy is the spam calls and emails members receive and the concern of Survey Voices selling member information to solicitors. It does seem like they do, at least from their FAQs page.

Though, with all that said, we can’t outright say that Survey Voices is a scam. We do however, have concerns about their privacy policy and their respect for user information.

Is Survey Voices Worth It?

If you’re looking to make cash now, Survey Voices is not the place to start at.

Although they try to get users to sign up for some decent sites, they also include a few survey sites that don’t seem legit.

In all, we’d recommend finding a survey site you are really interested in, learning about its benefits and trying it out, rather than letting Survey Voices decide all that for you.

Ipsos i-Say Review – Get Paid For What You Say or Scam?

ipsos i-say review

Ipsos i-Say is definitely one of the most well known survey sites. This is due, in part, to its size and long company history.

Ipsos, which is parent entity of i-Say, is a global market research firm that was founded in 1975. The word headquarters for the company is in Paris, France. Ipsos has grown to a significant size, boasting over 16,500 employees in over 80 countries.

Although the parent company Ipsos is a large global presence, is their paid survey site, Ipsos i-Say, any good? In this Ipsos i-Say review, we will analyze the opportunities i-Say has to offer and ultimately decide if it’s worthwhile.

What is Ipsos i-Say?

Per their website, Ipsos claims to be the world’s third largest survey focused research company. They also state that they service over 5,000 clients in over 100 countries using roughly 70 million interviews. In all, Ipsos is a power player in the paid survey business.

As Ipsos is a global company, i-Say is available in a variety of countries. Though, at the time of this review, the only active sign up portals were in the US and Canada. It appears that at times, i-Say is available in South America, Central America, The Caribbean, Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Oceania and Asia, though they were not open we when checked. If you’re interested, we’d recommend you check for yourself to see if your country (if you’re not in the US or Canada) is open for sign ups.

How to Reach Ipsos i-Say

If your country is available, you must be 18 years of age or older to join.

The sign up process is pretty simple and should only take a few minutes. You’ll need to answer a few demographic questions as well as some other pre-survey questions.

This survey sites panel has hundreds of thousands of members, of which, most have joined to voice their opinion as well as make some extra money.

How Does Ipsos i-Say Work?

In order to get started with Ipsos i-Say, you’ll need to complete their sign-up process.

Visit their site and fill out the first few questions (name, email, password, address, etc.) on the initial sign up page:

i-say initial sign up

After you complete that initial sign up, you’ll need to answer a few more specific demographic questions such as age, gender and income:

i-say demographics questions

After answering those questions your initial sign up is complete!

i-say thanks for signing up

Before your account is officially activated, you’ll need to go to your email inbox (using the email you signed up with) and click the link in the welcome email from Ipsos to confirm your account.

Now, you’re all set to enter the website! Go back to the site and login, if need be.

Once into your new account, you’ll need to take the “Getting to Know You” survey to provide Ipsos i-Say with some additional information so that they can match you with as many surveys as possible.

After that, you can start browsing the panel and finding ways to make money. Once you find a survey that will pay you with actual points (see the image below for an example) you can start the survey and begin amassing points. Once you earn enough points, you can exchange those points for payment, like an Amazon gift card or PayPal.

survey point value i-say

Ways to Earn

Ipsos i-Say is pretty much exclusively a paid survey site. While competitors like Swagbucks, offer many ways to earn, like watching videos and using coupons, i-Say stays focused on offering the user with many different ways to use their voice, through surveys and otherwise.

As i-Say is all about letting its users have a voice, they have a few ways in which those users can be rewarded for doing so:

Paid Surveys

This is by far the most popular way to make money on the site. One of the primary limitations to your earning potential here is that you will only get so many surveys per day, and some days will be better than others.

You can access your survey opportunities by clicking “Surveys” along the top navigation bar. There may even be a count for how many surveys you have available.

survey directions i-say

On your available surveys page, you can identify the survey opportunities as the ones that are offering points for taking the survey. Check out the example:

i-say find surveys

Completing these surveys is the quickest way to rack up points. Surveys on the site payout out an average between $0.45 and $2.00.

Loyalty Program

Ipsos i-Say has a loyalty  program to motivate you to continue taking surveys.

Therefore, when you complete specific amounts of surveys, you will be rewarded with extra points.

One important things to note, the loyalty program runs from January 1st to December 31st. The number of surveys you complete do not carry over, so it’s important to hit your next survey goal before the end of each year.

Here’s how the loyalty system works, based on the number of surveys taken:

i-say loyalty program

Community Polls

You’ll find many of these throughout the site. The community polls are questions that members of Ipsos i-Say have submitted for other members of i-Say to answer. Therefore, you can post a question if you like!

Although this often doesn’t payout in points like the surveys do, it could be a nice change of pace or an opportunity to take a break.

Click Draw

For every survey you take you get admitted into the Click Draw raffle. The more surveys you take, the more chances you have to win the draw. This is a drawing that takes place every 4 months during which 10 i-Say members are selected from the drawing and rewarded with 5,000 points each.

Lucky Grand Draw

Much like the Click Draw, the Grand Draw is a drawing that takes place every 4 months. You are admitted into the drawing everytime you redeem your rewards in the rewards catalog (cashing out for a gift card or PayPal). During the drawing, 5 members are selected and each win $1,000.

Poll Predictor

The poll predictor is an opportunity you get each time you finish a survey. You’re given a question and you must guess the percentage of respondents that answered “Yes” to the question. The closer you get to the percentage, the more chances you get to win a prize during the prize drawing. Those prize drawings take place every other week.

Exchange for Education

This is an opportunity to fund your education. Each entry into the drawing costs 200 points. In August, 3 winners are selected to receive $5,000, each.

Refer a Friend

We also observed that Ipsos i-Say rewards you for referring friends to the site. If the friend you refer signs up, you’ll be give 100 points.

Though, at the time of this review, we didn’t find the “refer a friend” option to be available. It may only be available at certain times, so check on your account if you’re interested.

What Are the Payment Options?

Ipsos i-Say has plenty of payment options and you’ll likely find your preferences among the many choices they offer.

Though before breaking down their rewards system, it’s important to understand their point to dollar ratio.

In most cases, 100 points = $1. That’s can vary between reward options, as some rewards many charge more when attempting larger payouts and some may even offer better exchange rates.

Here’s a few of the payment options at i-Say:

Gift Cards

Ipsos i-Say reward center has plenty of gift card options. Here’s just a few of them:

  • Amazon Gift Card
  • Starbucks Gift Card
  • Olive Garden Gift Card
  • i-Say Prepaid Visa Gift Card
  • Target Gift Card
  • iTunes Gift Card
  • Bed Bath & Beyond Gift Card
  • Kohls Gift Card
  • Walmart Gift Card

This is one of the most popular way to get paid on survey sites, because you can spend this money however you’d like.

You can exchange your points as cash donations to charities like the Ronald McDonald house, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the American Heart Association, to name a few.

As stated earlier in this review, you can can exchange your points for entrances into various sweepstakes. One of the more popular sweepstakes is the “Exchange for Education” and it has a cash prize of $5,000.

i-Say Market

The Ipsos i-Say market is an interesting reward option as you use your points to purchase merchandise.

You use your i-Say points to obtain i-Say merchandise points and those points must then be converted into gallery points and you use those gallery points to purchase items from categories like electronics, fitness and beauty.

Note: Your i-Say merchandise points must be convert into gallery points within 90 days of their purchase. Those gallery points must be spent within a year.

Ipsos i-Say Coupons/Deals

Although we didn’t find any sign up offers or deals, Ipsos i-Say’s loyalty system is a decent deal. You are rewarded extra points just for using the service, which is a fine deal, especially just for using the service.

Ipsos i-Say Hacks

One of the primary Ipsos i-Say hacks is ensure to you take each survey that becomes available to you. As you are not always going to have many, it’s important to take the ones you qualify for.

If you are looking to cash out with gift cards or PayPal, the sooner you cash out the better. The larger payment options seem to have worse point to dollar exchange rates.

Check out the sweepstakes, depending upon the sweepstakes available, it may be worthwhile to pay to enter one of the sweepstakes. If you win, that’s the best money making opportunity on the site. We wouldn’t recommend spending all your points on that though.

Ipsos i-Say has an app. If you install the app, it provides a convenient way to take surveys on the go.

Lastly, as we mentioned above, the loyalty program is decent, ensure you keep track of where you’re at with the loyalty program, especially when the year is coming to a close.

Other Customer Reviews

As this is a larger survey site, there’s a lot of Ipsos i-Say reviews online.

On SiteJabber.com, user’s rated i-Say at a 2.5/5. Some of the users expressed their frustration with how long it took to receive their rewards.

TrustPilot.com rated i-Say at a 3/5. One user complained about slow loading times. Another stated that it took a decent amount of time to earn with the site.

Some other reviewers stated that i-Say is their favorite survey site. Another member said that they think Ipsos is a great company and that they’ve been using the service for years.

As with many survey sites, the reviews are mixed. One important thing to note, you need to keep your expectation realistic in terms of earnings. Taking surveys on this site will not provide a full time income, but it can offer extra spending money.

How Does It Compare?

In all, Ipsos i-Say is among the top survey sites. The panel isn’t without issues, but overall it holds up well to the competition.

In doesn’t have a ton of opportunities to earn, whereas sites like Swagbucks do, but i-Say does a good job as an all around survey site.

It certainly is comparable to some of the other big survey sites like Survey Junkie, Cash Crate and MySurvey.

The payout rate per survey is comparable to other paid survey sites and the rewards choices are more extensive than many of its competitors.

Is Ipsos i-Say Legit or a Scam?

Being backed by a 40+ year old company (Ipsos),  you can’t really call i-Say a scam. Sure, it may take some time to accumulate earnings, but i-Say does payout.

i-Say has been around for quite some time and as they have hundreds of thousands of members, it’s clear that the site works for (at least some) people.

Their credibly is further enforced by their positive rating with the Better Business Bureau. The BBB gave Ipsos (the company that runs i-Say) a rating of “A+” which is a great sign.

Is Ipsos i-Say Worth It?

In all, Ipsos i-Say is among the survey sites worth trying. This panel is backed by a respectable company and has a decent earning potential.

The website is pretty simple and there are quite a few options for redeeming your points. They also offer an app, which is an added convenience.

While i-Say isn’t the best survey site right now, it’s definitely worthy or adding to the list of survey sites you use.

Survey Club Review – What You Should Know Before Joining

survey club review

Although Survey Club isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think about the most popular survey sites, it’s certainly has been around as long as most of them. They’ve also managed to acquire a pretty respectable community size.

Survey Club is among the “club” of survey only sites, meaning you take surveys for cash on this site, nothing else (like watching videos or downloading apps).

Well, is Survey Club a worthwhile opportunity? We’ll take a look at Survey Club in this review and let you know if you can make any money, or not.

What is Survey Club?

As I said above, Survey Club has been around for some time, as they were established in 2005.

Much like other survey sites, you qualify for various surveys based off of your information. They label themselves as a “research recruitment platform” in which users of the site are utilized to help brings insights into interests in specific markets. Businesses can use this information to make calculated decisions.

How to Reach Survey Club

1675 Larimer Street

Suite 640

Denver, CO 80202

You can make your money off of the site by answering these survey questions and even receive bonuses, occasionally.

Basically, Survey Club is a site that can pay you to take surveys through your participation in market research. Many have already taken an interest in the site as they’ve surpassed 16 million members.

How Does Survey Club Work?

If you’re 13 years of age or older, you’re eligible to sign up for Survey Club, which you can do so through filling out a profile on the website or simply logging in with your Facebook account.

When signing up you’ll answer demographics about your age, living situation, marital status, ethnicity, income, interests, among other topics.

An important thing to note before going through the sign-up process, Survey Club currently only takes candidates from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia.

First you go to their create an account page:

create an account survey club

From there, fill out all requested information. Then you’ll be prompted to tell a little more about yourself, elaborating on things like income, employment and education. You’ll also identify any health conditions as well as lifestyle characteristics.

survey club demographics information

You’ll then be asked to join a few other survey sites. I found this step particularly interesting; why would I sign up for those sites when I’m currently signing up for their site? But they explained it as an opportunity to increase your earnings, which is certainly a reasonable expectation to have when joining multiple survey sites.

join other offers survey club

Don’t feel any obligation to join the other sites if you don’t want to at that moment, you can just continue if you’d prefer. And after completing those steps, you’re all signed up!

complete sign up survey club

From there you’ll be prompted to check out your survey board.

When you’ve completed all that info, you will start qualifying for surveys. Typically they will notify you by email when one becomes available.

Keep in mind, when you begin a survey, you may have to answer a few qualification questions to ensure you’re the right fit for the survey. This may take some patience, especially if you get kicked out of the survey during the screening process. Though, when properly qualified you can expect payment for each and every survey successfully completed.

Ways to Earn

How you earn with Survey Club can be broken down into the following categories.

General/Daily Surveys

Daily surveys are guaranteed to come into your inbox everyday and often are labeled things like “General Opinion Survey” and “Consumer Opinion Survey.” These are simple surveys that take anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes and pay from $0.50 to $5.00. Some of these relatively generic surveys may be more valuable than others, it just depends on the survey.

Often times, these more general surveys are broken down into parent categories (see below) and you can take about 3 per category each day.

survey club available surveys

There could be more specific survey opportunities (with higher profit potential) that show up in this dashboard as well.

Clinical Studies & Focus Groups

This is where your money making opportunities become more promising.

You can participate in focus groups that may pay a few hundred dollars apiece These normally take place in a group dynamic and you can be expected to answer questions in addition to interacting with the group. These typically take time though.

When you signed up, you answered questions about your health conditions. These conditions can qualify you to participate in clinical studies in which you may receive significant payment and free treatments.

What Are the Payment Options?

Upon amassing $20 on the site, you can request payment. Although it can be faster, expect processing time to take anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks.

The biggest payment options are an Amazon gift card, PayPal or a check in the mail.

Keep in mind, this $20 is money you’ve made on Survey Club, not the other sites that they had recommended you join like MySurvey and Ipsos i-Say.

Survey Club Coupons/Deals

At the time of this review, we weren’t able to find any sign up offers or deals. We’ll keep you posted should they ever arrive.

Whereas as other sites, like Swagbucks, offer sign-up offers, Survey Club seems to boast a quick sign-up process and a reasonable cash out minimum instead.

Survey Club Hacks

The primary Survey Club hack is to take your time when signing up and filling out the forms with as much information as you can provide (accurate demographic information, complete health conditions, all your assets, etc.). By doing this you can increase your chances of getting each survey opportunity possible.

Check your survey dashboard at least daily, not only to fill out the daily surveys, but to keep an eye out for any higher value survey opportunities.

Keeping an eye on your inbox is a great idea as well to ensure you don’t miss any surveys or focus group opportunities.

Another way to earn money is by referring friends, so if you end up enjoying the site, you could get paid to refer your friends.

Other Customer Reviews

There are plenty of other members leaving their own Survey Club reviews online, in all, most of those reviews aren’t extremely positive.

One of the primary issues brought up among other reviews is the amount of spam they are sent. Although many of the emails Survey Club sends are about legit opportunities, they tend to send too many.

Others expressed their frustration with failing the pre survey screening. They would start a survey only to get disqualified shortly after. Others note they had a hard time even getting survey opportunities to begin with.

Another review stated that their payout time is longer than they’d prefer.

On a more positive note,  a few reviewers appreciated the focus group element of the site and thought it was an interesting way to earn money.

How Does It Compare?

Survey Club is an interesting site to compare because they entice you to join other survey sites on their website. So in a way it seems they realize they don’t cover everything other survey sites do, so they just let you know which ones they think you should sign up for.

Overall, Survey Club is not among the very best survey sites. It has a pleasant and organized interface and does offer some survey opportunities. Though when compared to other survey focused sites like Survey Junkie and  My Survey, it just doesn’t have the same amount of opportunities.

Is Survey Club Legit or a Scam?

Although Survey Club isn’t a perfect site, it can’t really be called a scam.

BBB logo

The site has a proven record as it’s been around since 2005 and has over 16 million members.  If it was truly a scam it wouldn’t have made it this far.

We can appreciate that the site doesn’t promote itself as a way to get rich quick, there’s really no survey site that can honestly promise that. They offer an earnings disclaimer in which they explain that while you can make money with their site, you shouldn’t expect it to be substantial enough to be an income.

Also, their support desk is accessible and prompt if you ever need to reach out to them, which is a good sign.

Is Survey Club Worth It?

This survey site certainly isn’t the first one you should sign up for, there’s a variety of quality survey sites out there and this is not at the top of the list.

However, if you are a looking for a simple survey site without an overwhelming amount of opportunities, no complex point to dollar ratio and simple payouts, Survey Club may be worthy of adding to your survey site lineup. Notice I said “add” to your lineup, we would use this site in conjunction with other survey sites if we were to use it on a regular basis.

Overall, do you need to sign up for this site right now? No. But if if you’re ever running low on survey site opportunities, Survey Club may be worth a look.

Swagbucks Review – Legit Paid Survey Site or Time Wasting Scam?

swagbucks review

When discussing paid survey sites, it’s hard not to mention Swagbucks. It’s easily one of the largest and most well-known surveys site online today.

Although it stands out from the rest in terms of popularity, does it live up to that hype? We’ll break that down in this review.

What is Swagbucks?

Swagbucks is a site that’s owned by its parent company, Protege. Protege also own another popular survey site, MyPoints.

Swagbucks, which launched in 2005, has over 20 million members and has paid out over $262,650,357 total to date. Which goes to show this isn’t a small scale survey site, but rather, one that’s well establish. Even so, just because it makes these claims doesn’t necessarily means it’s “legit.” We’ll judge that.

So Swagbucks uses a points system where users earn “Swagbucks.” I realize that’s a bit confusing and honestly, I was confused at first too. Swagbucks are earned by doing various tasks on the site such as taking surveys or watching videos, but we’ll get more into that later.

For now, just understand that 100 Swagbucks is roughly equivalent to $1. It taking 100 Swagbucks to just earn $1 seems a bit intimidating, but with the right strategies, it’s not as hard as you might think. But it does take time.

Overall, Swagbucks is a rewards site that pays you for completing various tasks. Users from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Ireland, India and France can all enjoy the services that Swagbucks has to offer.

How Does Swagbucks Work?

Swagbucks works by first going to their site and signing up for a free account. As I said above, users from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Ireland, India and France are all eligible for an account.

From there you are ready to start earning Swagbucks (which will turn into cash).

The interface is pretty straightforward but Swagbucks helps to guide you through the introductory process. One of the first things that you’ll need to do is complete your profile. When you signed up you supplied some basic info, but Swagbucks needs a little more info on you so that they can assign you with the most relevant surveys.

sign up for swagbucks

How much does taking those surveys pay? Well it all depends on the survey’s value and length. Some surveys may be as low as 1 Swagbucks ($0.01) and as high as 1,000 Swagbucks ($10).

The amount and value for the surveys you get vary. For example, certain demographics may get access to different surveys than others because those conducting the surveys may be looking for the feedback from a particular demographic. In all, there are typically plenty of opportunities for members to take surveys.

However, Swagbucks has a strict honesty policy and will terminate your account if they find that you lied about your personal information upon signing up and/or are dishonest when completing surveys.

Ways to Earn

Possibly the most popular option for earning Swagbucks is to take surveys. Don’t expect to get enormous payments from taking surveys but sometimes there are surveys available that will pay you a few bucks for a couple minutes of your time.

Gold Surveys (Swagbucks most notorious survey type) are worth looking into first when logging in. Even if one survey doesn’t pay that much, doing a couple can add up.

Just know you may get disqualified from the survey shortly after starting it if the surveys finds your initial answers not to be along the lines of the focus groups they’re looking for.

Swagbucks Search Engine

The Swagbucks Search is a great way to passively earn Swagbucks without changing the way you use go about your day.

earn with swagbucks search engine

Basically, you are directed to do all of your internet searches through Swagbucs search engine (search.swagbucks.com). You’ll be rewarded with Swagbucks for doing so and the results in the search engine are decent as it uses Yahoo’s search engine in the backend.

The points you earn for searching seem to be random, but hey, it’s fine if you needed to surf the web anyway!

You can complete offers such as signing up for a free trial of Hulu or joining Blue Apron for a month. These offers let you try a service you may be interested in, in addition to getting paid a few Swagbucks.

Although this is a very easy way to earn with Swagbucks, I’d suggest you only sign-up for the offers you’re interested in.

Shopping (Cash Back)

You can earn cash back for clicking an offer and buying an item from the corresponding site. Keep in mind, you must click the link to that site through Swagbucks’ site first in order to claim the offer.

Watch Videos

Watching videos are a relaxing way to earn a few Swagbucks without really doing any hard work. Most of the videos are pretty interesting.

You can just let the videos play as you complete surveys or other tasks. You’ll have to keep clicking on the next video to keep earning but it a super simple way to earn. Keep in mind, this method will only earn a maximum of a few bucks in a day.

Play Games

One of the most fun ways to earn is by playing games.

You can try out a few of Swagbucks’ games and earn a few Swagbucks for just playing.

Additionally, you can play some of their partner games and get paid Swagbucks for each $1 spent on in-app purchases. This is a bit deceiving, as it sounds like getting paid to play games but really, you can get paid to play games while making purchases within the game.

It’s understandable if this method isn’t for you, we’ve got plenty more.

Swagbucks offers a lottery type system where you can enter drawings for particular prizes you’d like to win.

Those drawing cost Swagbucks in order to be entered into, but if you win, you’ll get back your investment and then some. Key word, “if” you win. This isn’t the safest way to earn with the site as you can lose your hard earned Swagbucks, fast.

But you could win something like a $5 Paypal gift card for an investment of 75 SB - not bad!

Referral Program

The site also offers a referral program. By inviting your friends to join Swagbucks, you can make money!

Typically you’ll be awarded a few Swagbucks if your referral signs up and you’ll also recieve a percentage of their lifetime earnings. Pretty cool!

The Swagbutton is a browser extension you install to your favorite web browser (Chrome, Safari, etc) and it notifies you of any deals available for each relevant site you visit.

For example, let say you go to Walmart’s website and the Swagbutton pulls up an offer that says “1 SB per dollar you spend.” You’d simply have to activate that offer, checkout and receive those Swagbucks!

It will also alert you if it finds an specific deal or coupons for the site you are on.

There’s specific Swag Codes that can only be redeemed through the SwagButton as well.

Really the Swagbutton is key to any Swagbucks user, it will even alert you when you have new surveys available.

That’s Not All!

That’s just the top ways to earn with Swagbucks, there’s still a few other methods on the site and they’re constantly adding new ways to earn. You definitely won’t run out of things to do with Swagbucks.

What Are the Payment Options?

There’s certainly a variety of ways to get paid with Swagbucks. The two most popular methods are Amazon gift cards and PayPal.

You can typically cash out with those offer when you reach 300 to 500 Swagbucks.

However, you can get more value out of your Swagbucks if you go for some of the less popular gift cards like Walmart or Target. Those type of gift cards are typically offered at discounted rate and so allows you to do a little better than the standard 100 SB = $1 exchange rate.

You also have the option to use your Swagbucks to donate to charity, which is great way to donate your free time.

swagbucks payment options

Swagbucks Coupons/Deals

Swagbucks typically offers a sign-up bonus at any given time.

Right now, they are running a sign up bonus of $10!

When it comes to those types of offers it’s important to read the fine print, though. In order to redeem that $10, you must spend $25 in the Swagbucks shopping portal. That is a bit tricky, but if you wanted to do some shopping, it would be a great way to achieve that bonus.

Swagbucks Hacks

The primary Swagbucks hack is to create a game plan. Set up a schedule you’d like to follow for earning with Swagbucks everyday, and stick to it.

For example, you could start your morning by doing a few quick activities like the daily poll, using the Swagbucks search engine and browsing their social media for Swag Codes.

While at work you could let some of the Swagbucks videos play on mute while going about your day and earning easy Swagbucks.

Then in the evenings you could complete as many of the top surveys as possible.

Repeat the next day! Crafting such a structure will allow you to optimize your time with Swagbucks.

Other Customer Reviews

Swagbucks reviews, like other paid survey site reviews, vary somewhat.

However, for the most part, Swagbucks is thought of in a positive light online.

sitejabber logo

SiteJabber.com gives Swagbucks an average rating of 4.5/5 stars based on just under 4,000 reviews. Reviews have highlighted things like “I’m getting paid for things I would’ve done anyway” and “great site to get paid for shopping I wanted to do.” Some less positive reviews touched on that fact that “you need patience and time to actually earn Swagbucks.”

trust pilot star logo

TrustPilot.com gives Swagbucks an average score of 4/5 stars. Reviewers stated things like “it’s a good opportunity” and the “website is easy to use” while others less positive reviews stated their frustration by saying “it took some time to get the hang of it.”

Although users have expressed their issues with the amount of time it takes to make money, there’s no doubt you can actually make some money with Swagbucks. You just need to keep your expectations in check.

How Does It Compare?

How does Swagbucks hold up against the competition? Quite well actually!

When comparing it to sites like Survey Junkie and MySurvey, Swagbucks has way more opportunities to make money. Beyond just surveys, you can watch videos, take polls, surf the web and more.

Though some sites, like CashCrate, may have a better average payout per survey, Swagbucks is definitely an important site to keep in your rotation due to its wide array of opportunities.

One of the points to make is many Swagbucks users have reported being disqualified from surveys. However, I didn’t find this occurrence to be any more or less than other popular survey sites.

Is Swagbucks Legit or a Scam?

One perks Swagbucks has going for it is that they are honest about how they use your personal information. They are up front with how they handle personal information from the start and compared to a few less credible survey sites, Swagbucks has a decent policy.

BBB logo

Protege, LLC (Swagbucks’ parent company) is accredited by the Better Business Bureau and has an “A” rating on the BBB website. Therefore, in terms of being legit, this site passes the test.

From my experience the payout process was relatively painless and quick.

Is Swagbucks Worth It?

Overall, Swagbucks is one of the top quality paid surveys sites among the others online. While it may take some time to earn real money, they do pay and are honest with you.

Their website and app (Apple/Android) interfaces are clean and easy to navigate. Plus the ability to earn money in so many different ways is definitely unique.

Swagbucks is not going to make you rich, but it’s certainly a decent way to bring in some extra cash.

So, is Swagbucks worth it? We’d have to says yes. If you have the extra time, patience and are interesed in earning money though taking surveys, watching videos, surfing the web, etc. then Swagbucks is worth a try.
